What is Precast Concrete?
The precast concrete is a product composed of a mixture of different raw materials which, during its manufacture, is subjected to strict quality controls in order to provide the structure with the following characteristics durability and resistance. One of the key components in the production of BUPRE's precast concrete is the cement CEM Ia type of common high compressive strength cementideal for use in prefabricated structures requiring extreme durability.
In contrast to cast-in-place concrete, the Prefabricated Concrete are structural elements made of controlled environments and transported to the construction site for installation, thus guaranteeing that greater efficiency and uniformity in the construction process.
Benefits of precast concrete in civil hydraulic works
Hydraulic infrastructures require construction solutions that guarantee durability, resistance and operational efficiency in the face of adverse conditions derived from the continuous flow of water. In this context, precast concrete is the optimal choice, thanks to its high resistance to erosion and desgaste, for civil engineering projects that require maximum performance to ensure the longevity and reliability of this type of works.
Some of its many advantages:
- Increased durability and strength thanks to quality controls during production, guaranteeing compliance with current standards.
- Efficiency in the execution of the work by providing ready-to-install parts, thus reducing labour costs.
- Versatility and adaptabilityThe production of customised elements according to the needs of each project is possible.
- Reduced environmental impactby using and optimising natural raw materials during production, thus achieving greater efficiency in waste reduction.
BUPRE precast concrete products for water supply and sewage networks.
At BUPRE we design and manufacture precast concrete products such as Chambers, Covers, Hoops, Cones, Milestones and FlagstonesThe use of the new technologies for water, sewage, drainage and water supply networks, among others, is a key factor in the development of the new technologies.

BUPRE precast concrete products with cement EMF I stand out for their low coefficient for moisture absorption and porositytested in quality tests carried out in specialised laboratories. All this, together with the metal frame de su interior, los convierten en elementos de hormigón de alta resistencia, a partir de 40 N/nm², cumpliendo con las condiciones establecidas por la reglamentación vigente, Código Estructural, y conforme a la UNE EN-1917.

Our prefabricated concrete manholes can be with or without a bottom and have a lowered window on three sides for breaking, in case of needing to insert conduits and in different sizes, according to the needs of each project.
We also manufacture:
- Meter covers made of high quality hot-dip galvanised steel in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 1461 standard.
- Metal covers in steel sheet with anti-slip teardrop pattern for sewerage manholes
- Canal de Isabel II approved lids
- Covers with customised designs, adapted to the needs of each project, thus favouring the uniformity of the infrastructures.
- Tileable tiles and covers, with or without metal frame. They also have an anti-blocking system, as the safest and most aesthetically pleasing solution for covering manholes, manholes and other underground elements.

The metal covers and metal frames are subjected, in our own plant, to a hot-dip galvanising process according to UNE-EN ISO 1461 Standard and ATEG's Quality and Sustainability Certificate, which makes them highly resistant iron fittings, as well as contributing to reducing the carbon footprint during the construction process.

The BUPRE precast concrete products offer an efficient, durable construction solution and the best alternative to guarantee the durability and sustainability of modern hydraulic infrastructures.
We are an approved supplier for Canal de Isabel II and our solutions are endorsed with the Certifications: ISO QUALITY 9001:2015, UNE EN 124, Quality and Sustainability Certification from ATEG (Technical Association of Galvanisers).
